Music and Web Development (Dec 31 2004 21:54 GMT) - Bill and anyone interested...its a 2 CD set called "Concert for George" Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Among the many songs, it has several of my all time favorites, like "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)", "All Things Must Pass", "My Sweet Lord" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". Glad you saw it Barry. I caught it my accident, flipping stations on the TV one night. |

KESTS to GEO (Dec 31 2004 21:53 GMT) - Here is a great project that people could do. It has much technological promise, and is fairly well integrated with applications and currently existing science and technology, although not well with existing aerospace launch technology. It only awaits humanity's awareness and decision to explore it thoroughly and see if it is preferable to continuing to follow ways of conflict and destruction of the world ecosystem that gave us birth and life up to now, even gave much oil energy. |

We'll Say It Again: Don't Eat Your Mouse (Dec 31 2004 21:53 GMT) - Companies acting in delayed compliance with a 1986 California product safety law have begun adding warning labels to just about any product that contains the most minute concentration of lead. Apparently, PVC contains tiny bits of the horribly dangerous substance, so wired computer products are showing up on store shelves with warnings that the items should not be eaten. |

Build a Geodesic Dome out of Cardboard (Dec 31 2004 21:53 GMT) - This site was designed in response to people asking us how we made our domes and who were interested in making their own. The design was borrowed from a 1973 edition of Popular Science and was improved upon to meet the rigors of the Black Rock Desert. These domes have served as an effective shelter against wind, extreme heat and, once painted, rainfall. |

Give 'Till it Hurts (Dec 31 2004 21:51 GMT) - The tsunami in Asia is, without a doubt, the worst tragedy our world has been through in my lifetime; perhaps in anyone's lifetime. It's scope boggles the mind and dwarfs the soul. Looking at the disaster from a human perspective... |

Losing Ukraine PM Resigns (Dec 31 2004 21:51 GMT) - Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych resigned Friday and grudgingly admitted he has little hope of winning the presidency of this ex-Soviet republic. But he vowed to continue his court battle to overturn last week's elections that handed victory to his pro-Western opponent, Viktor Yushchenko. |

Chicago's murder toll drops to lowest in decades (Dec 31 2004 21:51 GMT) - Chicago had led the nation in homicides in two of the previous three years, and city officials swore it would end. The city bolted surveillance cameras to light poles, put desk cops back on the beat and flooded communities with police officers at the first hint of trouble. |

"They're so full of themselves; I hate them!" (Dec 31 2004 21:50 GMT) - It's not secret that I'm not a fan of American football; I used to be, but I've pretty much lost my taste for it. On the big football games (when two rivals play, or the SuperBowl), I go grocery shopping so I don't have to stand in line, and that's about the extent that I pay attention to the game. Our local college team, whose practice field we play on, is apparently going to a Bowl Game; I, of course, could care less - and apparently they could about anyone else, too. |
