OBRAZEM: svět vítá nový rok 2005, i pláče (Dec 31 2004 23:05 GMT) - [Novinky.cz] - Miliardy lidí již oslavily na Zemi příchod nového roku. V Austrálii a Asii slavnostní okamžiky doprovázely často slzy a smutek. Desítky miliónů lidí si tam připomněly následky nedělní přírodní katastrofy. Ve velkých městech se ale na smutek na chvíli zapomnělo. |

Hello Gonzales—Goodbye Constitution (Dec 31 2004 23:04 GMT) - Article Text: On November 2, 2004, John Ashcroft (Attorney General) submitted his letter of resignation. Alberto Gonzales, the current White House Counsel, is the man whom insiders believe will be the next Attorney General if the president has his way. Gonzales served as Bush’s legal counsel when Bush was governor of Texas. In that capacity, Gonzales presented Bush reports on inmates scheduled for execution with input as to any clemency considerations. |

Be safe? (Dec 31 2004 23:03 GMT) - it is possible that the staple is just holding the ribbon together, and not the adhesive used to connect the ribbon to the package. |

2004 - Year in Review (Dec 31 2004 23:03 GMT) - This year has simply been amazing, especially in the technology realm. Things have come together so well this year, and I’ve actually reached my goal of being able to talk about, experiment with, and learn about technology for a living, albeit a modest one. Review: 1. |

Remembering Those Lost (Dec 31 2004 23:02 GMT) - I'm watching NBC nightly news right now. They just plugged a segment about "those we lost this year" which will be on later in the episode. As they flashed the faces of those we lost (Reagan, Rodney Dangerfield) I noticed they flashed Pat Tillman's photo...right before they flashed Yasser Arafat's picture. Talk about contrast: |

I don't care if you make fun of me (Dec 31 2004 23:02 GMT) - I recently watched the final bonus Special Act episode of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, thanks to the amazing efforts of TV-Nihon! This hour-long episode was only released on DVD, and tells the story of everyone four years after the original series. The big event is the wedding of Usagi (Sailor Moon) and Mamoru (Tuxedo Mask), but of course there's a big fight with the Dark Kingdom first. Mio (the bizarre cute gal you love to hate) wants to take over the world and steal Mamoru, so the sailor soldiers have to get back together for one last battle. It was cool to see what the girls were doing - Ami (Sailor Mercury) is a doctor in America, Minako (Sailor Venus) is doing concerts in Europe, and so on. |
