Last-minute trimming shrinks tax increase in Banff (Jan 13 2005 23:57 GMT) - Banff 's brand new council delivered its first-ever budget on January 10. Their efforts ended with a $20.2 million document that calls for a 3.52 per cent tax increase, about two per cent less than the first draft of the budget council saw in December. If you use a headset you will notice no difference. But playing it on my receiver the difference is very big!! I prommise that I am able to hear the diffenrence. |

Japanese food sites (Jan 13 2005 23:56 GMT) - I know we take the mickey of out a lot of bizarre Japanese gizmos on this site but we're big fans of Japanese food. Looking for a decent bottle of mirin, I came across the superb Mount Fuji online food store and the handy Japanweb resource for shop locations, language help and lots of cultural info. Any mention of Japanese themed sites must include the almighty jlist but the best Japanglish url has to be f*ckedgaijin.com. |
