Microsoft Looks Ahead to BizTalk 2006 and Beyond (Jan 14 2005 19:59 GMT) - Microsoft is readying two new releases of its BizTalk integration server in the pipeline, the first of which is expected to ship this year. Microsoft is working on BizTalk Server 2006 (code-named "Pathfinder") and the Longhorn Server wave BizTalk release (known as Beyond BizTalk Server 2006), according to company insiders. Microsoft shipped its most recent BizTalk release, BizTalk 2004, in April 2004. Until last spring, Microsoft was planning to make future versions of BizTalk part of an integrated e-business server bundle. |

Hackers can build malicious playlist files which they can use to crash the application and seize control of the computer by inserting Trojan code, according to security firm iDefence. Microsoft puts wheel clamp on Emerald Media Center (Jan 14 2005 19:59 GMT) - ALL AROUND CES last week, there was one thing everyone was talking about. That was the new upgrade to Windows Media Center due out late this year. It is code named Emerald, and it is supposed to fix all the things that make MC05 such a joke. Well, it still includes DRM, so it will still be worthless, but MS is really keen on not having the info out for some reason, going as far as to threaten NeoWin into removing the content, unless the scoop is bold letters saying "Removed at the Request of Microsoft". Well, I wasn't planning to write it up, but it looks like there is a story there after all. |
