Helpline Comment (29815) (Jan 23 2005 03:54 GMT) - Isabel, Not much new info we can say regarding the video problems. Unless there's something extremely unusual (bent pin on VGA cable), but this is almost always a bad driver for either video card or monitor. If the video card is onboard or has been "updated" by a vendor (compaq, dell, gateway) you will probably want to try some of their drivers (and maybe not the latest if you're still having problems). Beyond that I'm not sure what else to try (you could try booting off of a linux distro like Knoppix and see if you get full colors there, then you could atleast confirm it's a driver and not a hardware compatability problem). Good luck! |
