Estas ediciones, amarillentas y arrugadas por su doloroso viaje en barco, ferry y lomo de mula, tenían que añejarse dos y tres semanas para llegar a las febriles manos del periodista bogotano que, haciendo uso de sus pocos conocimientos de inglés, trataba de descifrar estos garabatos en compañía de un café y un cigarro, a la vez que pensaba cómo iba a abordar el artículo. Radio y periódicos viejos eran su fuente primaria para escribir noticias de "fuera", de un mundo que desde la sabana bogotana, protegida por selva, ríos y manigua, aparecía gigante y lejano. |
