Helpline Comment (29948) (Jan 31 2005 21:57 GMT) - Stan, the BIOS doesn't care what file system you are running. Sounds like the MBR (master boot record) got messed up, or you may be missing some startup files. I'm not too familliar with 2000 as I try to stay away from it! Also, you said "formatting the drive in NFTS confuses the bios partition (even though it's still FAT)", if it is formatted with NTFS, then it is no longer FAT. |
