Booze in Congress (Feb 04 2005 06:45 GMT) - Yesterday, President Bush stood before a joint session of Congress to deliver his annual State of the Union address. This speech is one of the most time-honored and respected constitutional obligations of our President. I was absolutely aghast when I heard on the news this morning that there was actually booze at this dignified event! Of course the Democrats were to blame. I guess they’re still nursing their wounds from their horrible showing in November, but that’s no excuse to nurse the bottle. |
