Lent (Feb 11 2005 21:59 GMT) - I am not sure I can explain my comment about Lutherans and how they feel about progress. In my neck of the woods in NE Kansas, there is a Lutheran church just about every ten miles or so out in the country. Many of them have had to close, and some... |

Mayor B almost looks cute and cuddly enough to reelect, but Gothamist will wait to hear more about what he plans to do in the next four years (we know Mike wants to build lots of sports facilities, make sure it's less noisy and smoke-free, but what about the schools and subways?). The puppy was integral to a press conference earlier this week, when a $15.5 million grant from Maddie's Fund, The Pet Rescue Foundation, was announced, to help the city's shelters increase adoptions and hopefully become a no-kill city. |

IQ can be a factor, but not the sole factor. Victim advocate's spin: |

The MPAA's new catchphrase "You can click, but you can't hide" is a remix of the famous phrase "You can run, but you can't hide," which was popularized by intellectual property abolishionist and EFF co-founder John Perry Barlow in a song he wrote for the Grateful Dead. Chipping away at reproductive rights (Feb 11 2005 21:58 GMT) - In November 2004, the Detroit Free Press published a report about a 16 year-old girl in Macomb County, Michigan, who discovered that she was four months pregnant.
