The Darwinian Period (Feb 11 2005 23:22 GMT) - Carl Woese proposes that evolution, as Darwin understood it, was but an interlude in the history of life. The article in which he does so is (so far as I can tell) unavailable online, but Freeman Dyson's review on Technology Review is, and it's an interesting read. [futurewire] |

02-11-2005-United States (Feb 11 2005 23:21 GMT) - My friend D. is very sick with cancer. She has fought hard but is declining quickly now. Both she and her family are tired and scared and just need to be lifted up for healing (if possible) and the strength and grace to face whatever happens. She loves the Lord and will move to heaven but is scared to leave her loved ones and they are scared to go on without her here in this life. |

Insert 25 (Feb 11 2005 23:20 GMT) - Forever Geek are launching a new weblog known as Insert 25, dedicated solely to Games, gaming, and games. I'm a fan of the Forever Geek website, and who isn't in to games, so this should be a good read. For even more gaming weblogs, check out both Kotaku and Joystiq which are two more excelent gaming news resources. |
