And did the mountain move? (Mar 03 2005 12:58 GMT) - much much less than 3% of the population of the city of peace, are experiencing post trauma akin to that suffered by victims of war. Freedommania Is Runnin' Wild!, by Thomas Lindaman (Mar 03 2005 12:58 GMT) - I admit it, I like professional wrestling. I remember watching the then-WWF in the early and mid-80s and watching one of my favorites, Hulk Hogan. One of his catchphrases was "Hulkamania's runnin' wild!" And people young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican loved the Hulkster. There's a new movement similar to Hulkamania that's been runnin' wild in the Middle East. |

Letting Nursing Homes Downsize Themselves (Mar 03 2005 12:58 GMT) - Nursing homes care for those seniors least able to care for themselves. Smile and Say Password! (Mar 03 2005 12:58 GMT) - "Omron yesterday announced OKOA, software for camera phones that enables face recognition security. To use the unit, the user simply takes his or her own photo... [OKOA] will automatically detect the user and unlock the unit. The verification process takes less than a second from snapping the photograph."This sounds like something out of James Bond, but in the near future our devices may be able to unlock simply by looking at us. |

Many thanks to Amanda Vlahakis for arranging an... [Ed 'Debt Advice' Pearson] (Mar 03 2005 12:57 GMT) - Ecademy Midlands meeting last night in Sutton Coldfield. Currently I meet about 2 or 3 Ecademy members per week face-to-face but last night I met 4 other 'local to me' Ecademy'ers. It was good to put real people to their profiles and a very relaxed evening was had by all over a pint or 2. When's the next one I hear you all cry? Keep watching the blogs and make a space in your diary - consider it time wisely invested. |

Arlen Specter's Warped Sense of Proportion, by Christopher Adamo (Mar 03 2005 12:56 GMT) - Illustrating the abhorrent yet entirely predictable behavior of those on the left, Rush Limbaugh explains, "A tiger is a tiger. A snake is a snake. And a liberal is a liberal." To which he should add that a "moderate" is a liberal too. Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter, outspoken Republican "moderate" and Judiciary Committee chairman, makes this point painfully obvious once again. |
