- ...after the 14 day trial period is up? Do you just lose your setup and first months usage fee? If I return the router to Vonage, I don't owe them anything else, do I? At this point, I no longer think Vonage (or any VoIP) is viable technology. At most it's a novelty, but the reliability is so low, it doesn't even make sense for home usage any more. |

- actually I just saw something in another thread that reminded me of this: if you get the mac address of the other pap2, try spoofing that in the new device. not sure if the pap2 supports mac spoofing, but the rt31p2 does. Vonage can't be using the mac address anyway. I spoofed mine in the 312 before I ever hooked it up to internet, and it got a firmware update right away. |

- Folks, if Vonage were actually a LEC, this outage would result in HUGE FCC penalties. As-is, Vonage has absolutely no accountability except to their customers... though the vast number of customer complaints indicates to me there's no accountability ANYWHERE. And yet, the CEO of Vonage, Jeff Citron, is hard at work petitioning the FCC to keep ISPs from blocking their traffic. I'm tempted to petition the FCC to require Vonage and other VOIP providers to provide a minimum degree of service reliability. |

- Unfortunately I received my device on Friday (outage day 1), had issues/questions regarding adding this 2nd router to my network and waited on hold for over an hour to get very little help. I got it working very quickly but was worried about the fact that I installed the phone router as the second router and would not get optimal performance so .....Combining Friday and Saturday - spent about 6-8 hours tweaking and reading posts from the wonderful people on this forum. - Actually mine worked right out of the box when I simply connected like this: Cable--->WRT54G----& but of course I found the web page where they recommended the RT31P2 to be first. The only problem with that is they need a technician to bench test their examples and provide detailed set-up instructions for the top 10 popular interfaces. |

- Jeg har gennem lang tid haft problemer med, at computeren ikke ville starte direkte op i windovs, men at jeg 1-3 gange skulle igennem valget om at opstarte windows i seneste kendte instilling der virkede eller i fejlsikret tilstand. Jeg kører med en fuldt opdateret Nortan antivirus, der ikke har fundet vira ved scanninger. Jeg har nu endelig fået taget mig sammen til at formattere harddisken og regnede med at det ville løse problemet. Det gjorde det bare ikke. Nu en måned efter er der stadig de samme start problemer, plus computeren af og til lukker op til sort skærm, og må genstartes for at køre rigtig. |

- Jeg vil godt lige have bekræftet en ting, jeg siger til folk: Nemlig at 1) antispywareprogrammerne ikke konflikter med antivirusprogrammet (uanset hvilket), og 2) det ikke er nødvendigt at deaktivere antivirusprogrammet når man downloader antispyware programmer som f.eks adaware, spybot mv. For så ville der vel være en advarsel, ikke? Jeg vil gerne have en "ekspert" forsikring om at dette altid!!! |
