SCSI-scanner uden SCSI-kort?

Vanden: The Reporter - News: Rallying their robot (Mar 06 2005 15:55 GMT) - Vanden's team shows off creationIf you can imagine metallic vacuum cleaners with minds of their own, madly zipping around one another to play tic-tac-toe, then you have a vague idea what Friday's high school robotics competition looked like. Thirty-seven student teams, their advisers and their admirers crowded the stadium-like rec hall at the University of California, Davis, for the competition of contraptions, all created by students and their instructors. Among the participants was team No. 701, the Vanden High School team, along with its beloved robot, Tyr. Tyr, who sports a single arm, is named after the one-armed god of war in Viking mythology. |

Growing Up Poor (Mar 06 2005 15:54 GMT) - "It's shocking to see Jewish boys -- from the most secular Jewish upbringings to the most religious upbringings -- having Bar Mitzvah extravaganzas that are bigger than my wedding -- and with better food. A religious friend confided in me that his son's Bar Mitzvah is going to cost him around $40,000; $25,000 if he does it 'cheaply.' 'That's the expectation now,' he said to me, sounding resigned to his fate. 'It's out of control. |
