Cancer Prevention In Canada (Mar 14 2005 21:59 GMT)

- In 2002, the federal government announced it had devised the Canadian Strategy for Cancer Control, a plan to improve the coordination and delivery of treatment, prevention, palliative services and research in Canada. To date, the Canadian Strategy for Cancer Control is still an idea on a shelf. Fed up with the federal government?s lack of action, the National Cancer Leadership Forum launched its

Cancer Patients Don't Reveal Alternative Therapies (Mar 14 2005 21:59 GMT)

It is important that doctors know about cancer patients' use of alternative remedies because some of them can interfere with conventional cancer treatments.

// Hiddenson's Construct

// Recherche (Mar 14 2005 21:59 GMT)

- Allow me to present you my last work, Recherche. Enlarged picture here It is made of three parts, each measuring 40x40 cm. Leaving the parts together, total size is 120x40, but I would recommend spacing each canvas by another 40cm. The result would then be 200x40. It could potentially look great.

// "The Merythian Trail": session 3 review (Mar 14 2005 21:59 GMT)

- Our party split in town, for all had different duties to attend. The barbarian had some friendly wrestling training in a temple nearby, the Halfling found a job in a laundry, and I was introduced to the League of Boot and Trail.As an apprentice of the League, Aikanaro learned about another Merythian location, at four to five marching days West from town. The place is a rich farm, built on the

Study Finds No Media Bias on War...Mostly (Mar 14 2005 21:59 GMT)

- The Project for Excellence in Journalism's State of the American News Media 2005,¯ released late Sunday, disputes charges of antiwar media bias.     In fact, the idea that Americans are engaged in "partisan" news consumption isn't supported by the research. With the exception of Republicans who prefer Fox News, most media use mirrors the general population, the study found.

HELP! with "rel" tags (Mar 14 2005 21:59 GMT)

- I am having a problem getting technorati.com to work properly with "rel" tags. First of all bbcode doesn't have a way to handle the "rel" tag and most blogs don't allow you to include them in your links. Is this because XML already does the formatting on rel tags by topic or is it because places like KOS don't want to get spammed with them? Any help with how to properly format the links would be appreciated.

Register? Pay? or Just Read? Newspaper Websites Debate (Mar 14 2005 21:59 GMT)

- The New York Times has more readers of their on-line version than their print version, and they are not alone. Now, nearly a decade after newspapers began building and showcasing their Web sites, one of the most difficult questions in newspaper economics endures: should publishers charge for Web news, knowing that they may drive readers away? Advertising of course is a deciding factor. Bill Keller, executive editor of The New York Times, said "My main concern is that, however we distribute our work, we have to generate the money to pay for it.

Manga: Racy Fluff --or--Reading Aid? (Mar 14 2005 21:59 GMT)

- What are kids reading these days? Many are reading manga, the Japanese graphic novels that can offer extreme sexist stereotypes and gratuitous situations, atypical if what you're used to is the American version of comic book heroes and villains. At Deering High School in Portland ME, the manga collection is so popular that it needs to be kept under lock and key to prevent theft. This story from the Portland Press Herald tells how many middle and high school students find the novels both fascinating and off-putting; parents, librarians and comic-book store owners weigh as well on this popular genre.
