3/15 NY Post Reports McGwire Used Steroids (Mar 15 2005 23:38 GMT) - I took this article from espn.com, and think this is an interesting story (I'll be in the bold for this entry) NEW YORK -- Mark McGwire's name was mentioned several times during a federal steroids investigation in the early 1990s, but he was not the target of the probe nor was any evidence collected against him, the Daily News reported Sunday. Like every other steroid claim. No hard evidence, just some he said-she said accusations. |

What, No Singing Hobbits? (Mar 15 2005 23:38 GMT) - Via Freak Girl's Pew, a musical version of The Lord of the Rings is premiering in Toronto. A related BBC article bemoans the loss of a UK premiere:The music for the show is being written by Bollywood composer AR Rahman, who was behind Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End musical Bollywood Dreams, and in conjuction with the Finnish group Varttina."There will be no singing and dancing Hobbits. The music will be in a very traditional mould and draw on ethnic traditions," assured Mr Wallace. |

IE7 Details Emerge (Mar 15 2005 23:38 GMT) - Varg Vikernes writes "Microsoft Watch has a story about new features we can expect in IE7 (code named 'Rincon') which they gathered through Microsoft's key partners. Apparently we can expect 32 bit PNG support, native IDN support, new functionality that will simplify printing from inside IE and, of course, tabbed browsing. The new browser also will likely include a built-in news aggregator. Apparently an important factor is security." |

T-Shirt Sites (Mar 15 2005 23:37 GMT) - James asked me to post a list of places I get my t-shirts. Here it is. On top of these places where you can actually buy t-shirts, Preshrunk is an awesome resource for cool shirts, and new t-shirt sites. T-Shirt Hell - Some of them are really raunchy, but there are some amazing gems here. Diesel Sweeties - Great pixel artwork, and funny slogan shirts, oh, and a hilarious web comic. |

I got my Mac Mini (Mar 15 2005 23:36 GMT) - Cool stuff, just installed the 'beast' (well very small one) and this is my first comments. I really like the OS preinstalled on the machine, the first setup is also so well done, everything was working fine. I have the Bluetooth and wireless model, and no problem at all to recognize my 802.11g network. The good surprise was the Bluetooth discovery integrated in the setup, and my Microsft Bluetooth keyboard was instantly accepted. |
