Domain-wide Universal Login? (Mar 31 2005 15:59 GMT) - I've created several conversation within the same domain primarily because I wanted to have mailing lists with separate addresses. One conversation for the whole group, one for posting of daily schedules, one for vacation requests. Only one person should get e-mails about vacation requests (and he is the only one subscribed via e-mail to this one conversation). People are complaining, however, that they have to log in two or three different times to access (what appears to them to be) one site (vacation, message board, work assignments). Is there a way to use cookies such that having one cookie allows access to any conversation in the domain (if they are members of that conversation)? |

Internet pornography filters urged at all libraries (Mar 31 2005 15:59 GMT) - Anonymous Patron writes "One From The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette where Allegheny County Councilman Vince Gastgeb, R-Bethel Park, hopes libraries across the county will adopt strict filtering measures to prevent similar incidents. He wants the eiNetwork, the computer network that links the 44 public library systems of the Allegheny County Library Association, to use filters capable of blocking all pornographic or inappropriate material found on the Web.
