The bad boys of Tiger (Apr 11 2005 23:59 GMT) - I just got an email from Apple reminding me that there is still time to save $300 on the tickets I am not buying for WWDC 2005. The email also beckoned me to Meet the engineers who are creating Tiger. img alt="Ted Goldstein" src="http://www. weblogsinc. |

Reviving a Magazine With Ballast of a Web Site First (Apr 11 2005 23:59 GMT) - Anonymous Patron writes "The New York Times is covering the revival of Radar magazine, which folded two years ago and is being revived in May, is starting a Web site before publishing the magazine itself. Come the end of April, visitors to the Web site will be reintroduced to Radar, which its founders are trying to make irreverent, urban and fun. Then, by the time the magazine comes out on May 24, readers will have been primed for the first issue and be looking forward to the next." |

Book I is a Goner (Apr 11 2005 23:58 GMT) - After 2 1/2 extremely hard working years and two teachers, Noah has officially graduated from Book I of the Suzuki Violin Method. This isan incredible accomplishment and I'm very proud of him.All 17 songs of Book I (including Minuets 1-3 from Bach, a pieceby Robert Schumann, and Gavotte by F. J. Gossec)have to be learned, practiced, and "passed"without ever looking at the music. |

Hustle (Apr 11 2005 23:58 GMT) - Skip It The Movie Seems like someone has a nasty little grudge against former baseball great / gambling junkie Pete Rose, and it all but oozes off the screen as you sit through Hustle, a tacky and vague biopic that presents a complicated story … in the most simplistic way imaginable. And before you peg me as a Pete Rose cheerleader, I’ll make my opinion known right from the outset: as much as I respect Pete Rose’s astonishing prowess on the baseball field, I do not believe he should be allowed into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Mainly because he cheated in one of the most egregious ways possible, but also because he spent the next 15 years denying it to anyone who’d listen. But if Rose’s suspension were lifted tomorrow and he were to be elected into the Hall of Fame next week, I wouldn’t exactly march out and protest. |

Hack Your PSP (Apr 11 2005 23:57 GMT) - Will some sort of Sony crackdown start taking place soon? Ahhh, I tend to doubt it myself. Sony is not nearly as hyper-paranoid as other gaming console companies are these days. Less than two weeks after Sony released its long-anticipated PlayStation Portable (PSP), a handheld gaming device with multimedia capabilities, the device's most ardent fans began [...] |
