24 (Apr 26 2005 00:59 GMT) - Our story so far: Marwan, evil terrorist mummy genius mastermind and Home Depot customer, has once again outwitted the entire U.S. Intelligence apparatus, which turns out to be not as hard as we might have hoped, because the U.S. |

Unusual DP (Apr 26 2005 00:59 GMT) - If you have a chance, catch the double play in the top of the first of the Braves-Mets game. With men on first and third, one out, LaRoche grounded back to the pitcher. The ball hit Heilman in the leg... |

Adium Rocks! (Apr 26 2005 00:59 GMT) - If you haven't used [Adium][a] *recently*, do yourself a favor and check it out. Infinite customizability, AppleScript support, the ability to typeset mathematics (!) with LaTeX, and all kinds of other neat features. [a]: http: |

OmniWeb Links In Adium (Apr 26 2005 00:59 GMT) - Adium message windows optionally have a toolbar button to insert a hyperlink to the current page in Safari. Neat feature, but I use OmniWeb. Until support for other browsers is available, a simple hack is all that's required to remedy the situation. Show Package Contents on Adium, and navigate to `Contents/Resources`. Inside, you'll find the files [... |

Save Y100 (Apr 26 2005 00:59 GMT) - Better than KROQ in New York City, better than WRRV in Poughkeepsie, is Y100 out of Philadelphia. I only can listen when I visit my girlfriend (who goes to school down there), but it's the only radio station around that can compete with my iPod. Unfortunately, Y100 has recently gone off the air, replaced by some [...] |

Gecko Safari? (Apr 26 2005 00:59 GMT) - John Koetsier [writes][a]: Just slightly over two years ago, Apple released an incredible web browser that made the world sit up and take notice, led to Microsoft discontinuing Internet Explorer for Mac OS X, and gave Mac users a browser that rendered faster, worked better, and [...] |

Here?s to the Crazy Ones (Apr 26 2005 00:59 GMT) - One of the coolest pages on apple.com was always the [Think Different poem][thinkdifferent], but it seems to have recently been taken down. So recently, in fact, that there's still a [Google cache][cache] of it. Curiously, there seems to be some thought behind this--the page doesn't [404][], it redirects to apple.com. |

Reindenting C In TextWrangler and BBEdit Using Astyle (Apr 26 2005 00:59 GMT) - Now, I [haven't][a] always been the [biggest fan][b] of [Bare Bones Software][c], but after reading through TextWrangler's extensive documentation, I think that's about to change. If a company is willing to publish a 258-page manual for a product that they're giving away for *free*, then it's no wonder Gruber thinks that nonbelievers are missing something. [...] |

50 Random Observations on Mac OS 10.4 ?Tiger? (Apr 26 2005 00:59 GMT) - Looks like Tiger information is slowly making its way onto the net, so I figured I'd post some of my own observations. * When copying Google searches to the system-wide search-clipboard-thing, Safari now only copies the first word in the query. Makes it much easier to Google your way to a page, then ⌘G your way [...] |

Jazz Discovery at Library of Congress (Apr 26 2005 00:59 GMT) - gsandler writes " Here is a story from the New York Times on the discovery by the Library of Congress of a previously unknown recording of the Thelonious Monk Quartet with John Coltrane. There are very few recordings of this period of John Coltrane's career. quot;During this period, Coltrane fully collected himself as an improviser, challenged by Monk and the discipline of his unusual harmonic sense. Thus began the 10-year sprint during which he changed jazz completely, before his death in 1967. |
