Aquadoodiloop reviews: Last Call (Apr 26 2005 04:59 GMT) - Book: Last Call by: Tim Powers Powers creates an absolutely stunning alternate reality involving poker, tarot, Arthurian legends and jungian archetypes. I stumbled on this book totally randomly during highschool and it prompted me to go out and buy a tarot deck, and a book in order to try to get a grasp on some of the stuff that Powers was talking about. My dad saw it in my room and FREAKED! |

On my first day, two months ago, my SY[P] co-workers gave me a neat stack of San Francisco guidebooks and a household address book that they’d filled with notes on opthalmologists, florists, car repair shops, hikes, plumbers, restaurants, dentists, and babysitters. |
