Helpline Comment (30956) (Apr 29 2005 23:38 GMT) - I've never had trouble reading cd's regaurdless of the rate they were burned at (I started with a 2x burner back in 97 or 98) as long as the reader would read cd-r period. Though I've heard that burning at 4x or lower helps make DVD+-R more readable in dvd players. |

Betraying an Ally (Apr 29 2005 23:36 GMT) - Before I take off for a few days of vacation, I thought I would post this article that I came across this morning. It highlights some very interesting details surrounding the history of WWII and FDR's betrayal of China, specifically Chiang Kai-shek. Roosevelt broke virtually every important promise made to Chiang between the time of Pearl Harbor and his death in April, 1945. He shipped less than 10 percent of the aid pledged. He went back on his commitment to assist Chiang's Burma campaign with an amphibious invasion. |
