Shiira 1.0 for OS X 10.4 (Apr 29 2005 23:33 GMT) - Shiira is a web browser written in Cocoa. It uses the KHTML rendering engine provided by Apple's Web Kit. Since this is the same rendering engine used by Safari, HTML content rendered by Shiira will look the same as in Apple's own browser. The browser is being developed by a group in Japan, and they are also creating English versions of the browser. Today, they released version 1. |

How about naming it the Tom DeLay Highway to Hell? (Apr 29 2005 23:31 GMT) - A 49-mile stretch of Highway 130 in Texas won't be named after Willie Nelson, after all. Steve Ogden and Jeff Wentworth, Republican senators, spoke against the proposal because they didn't want the stretch of road, which crosses their districts, named for someone who drinks, smokes, and supports Democrats. Duh (Apr 29 2005 23:31 GMT) - I suppose now is as good a time as any to tell you my Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy review is over at Film Threat. Especially since it went up last night. Anyway, 3.5 stars. Diehards will be cheesed off at the whole Arthur-Trillian-Zaphod love triangle and how much of the book was left out, but the bits they do keep in, and the Guide itself, are pure Heart of Gold. |
