Blawg of the Day (Apr 30 2005 21:41 GMT) - Rulemaking looks to be a blog on a unique and terrific subject: it's published by the folks at Administrative Codes and Registers, "an organization of dedicated folks who, in at least some respects, regulate government regulators. This blog has been created to help the members of ACR learn about blogs, RSS news feeds, and share information." |

Joliet (Apr 30 2005 21:41 GMT) - "The photographs in this exhibit were made by inmate photographers, although their identities still have not been determined. Prison records from 1915 indicate that there were five convicts who listed their previous occupation as photographer. Reports also document that... |

Lazy Day And A Host Is Toast (Apr 30 2005 21:40 GMT) - All I'm doing is surfing around today. Had a bit of a move earlier for Fabaroo since the host choked on me this week. Cheap hosting - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't! If you've been trying to submit but found the site down, all should be well now or soon when the domain [...] |

WordPress Plugin: FeedBurner (Apr 30 2005 21:40 GMT) - This WordPress FeedBurner Plugin adds to the Options area in the WordPress admin instructions on how to get your site setup to work with FeedBurner. Response to The Register (Apr 30 2005 21:40 GMT) - [GrokLaw] - I am getting so much email about The Register's article about Project Monterey, I will put my response here, for economy's sake.Andrew Orlowski is a fine journalist, whose skills I have long admired. However, in this case, he didn't understand why legally the evidence Groklaw found of Project Monterey being intended from the beginning to be used on POWER matters. It matters because SCO's proposed 3rd amended complaint apparently is claiming that IBM had no right to use the Project Monterey product on POWER and only did so after Project Monterey was killed. If you followed the April 21st hearing, you will note that IBM's attorneys used similar evidence to argue that SCO knew about IBM's use on POWER for years. |

More Project Monterey Evidence - Caldera and AIX 5L (Apr 30 2005 21:40 GMT) - [GrokLaw] - An anonymous reader has found a 2001 Caldera press release still on SCO's website. For those who are new, Caldera later changed its name to The SCO Group. I think it is of value to support Kurt Wall's recollection that Caldera's Ransom Love backed AIX 5L, even after Project Monterey was over and thought it would benefit his company. The press release has a subhead, "OpenLinux Server 64 to Supplement AIX 5L," |

Cancer mother's legacy to her family (Apr 30 2005 21:39 GMT) - Even while she lay dying from breast cancer, Helen Harcombe left instructions to her husband from raising her seven year old daughter.... Don't let her live out of cans, noodles and toast etc. • At Christmas time don't forget the smaller things like stocking fillers to make it look more and fill up the stocking - chocolates, bobbles, clips, make up, fun stuff etc. |
