Food Events: Barolo's Evening Under The Stars (Apr 30 2005 23:45 GMT) - Gothamist knows how we like our restaurant gardens - full of beautiful people, flowering trees and free-flowing drinks. We were pleased as punch on Thursday when we attended the 15th annual garden opening party Una Sera Sotto Le Stelle (An Evening Under The Stars) at Barolo and found everything we adore. The crowd was eclectic: Italian ex-pats and neighborhood holdovers from when Soho wasn?t a mall mingling with young models and magazine types, and we enjoyed the spectacular space, the back of the lot Barolo is situated on, opening onto Grand Street. |

Last Titan Launch from Florida (Apr 30 2005 23:45 GMT) - [Meerkat: An Open Wire Service] - The Breeze writes "Driving along San Diego's freeways, I often passed a large Lockheed Martin facility that had big ATLAS and TITAN logos on them - it looked like it was still operating, even though I thought the Titan missile had been retired years ago. Well, according to CNN, the last Titan to be launched from Florida just took off with a classified military payload. I had no idea that they were still using 50-year old technology to launch stuff into space. |
