Local artist makes it big in Cincinnati (May 01 2005 23:34 GMT) - Howdy! As Muli Tang's web site requests that I don't borrow anything on his site, all I can suggest you do is go there to look at his work. Specifically his portrait of James Conlon who is director of the May Festival, which is the oldest continuous choral festival in the Western Hemisphere. Mr. Tang lives in Cote Saint Luc but has done a bunch of portraits of prominent people in Cincinnati |

Wired Coincidence (May 01 2005 23:34 GMT) - Howdy! This is flat out strange. Due to some fairly simplistic radio habits (I listen to the CBC) and some procrastination on my part. I came across a picture of the gallery that I wouldn't have expected in a gazillion years. On Saturday's WireTap with Jonathan Goldstein is broadcast at 6: |

Jeanie Riddle shakes things up and causes stuff to shift at the Parisian Laundry (May 01 2005 23:34 GMT) - Howdy! Two weeks ago I went to the opening of Decalage, a group show by scads of Masters students at Concordia University. It was tons 'o fun, and tremendously entertaining. As it was the opening, there was only time enough to do a quick scan of the artwork there. So I promised myself I would go back and give it a closer and more thorough viewing. |

Shafting the artist, episode 7,865 (May 01 2005 23:34 GMT) - Howdy! Next I saw this press release put out by one of my favorite organizations, the Société de développement du boulevard Saint-Laurent. In it, they use the normal purple prose to go on and on about Saint Laurent. What I found reprehensible is that they have published a poster (see below) "To pay tribute to Ryan Larkin, SDBSL has produced a commemorative poster for the 100th anniversary of |

New Gallery Alert (May 01 2005 23:34 GMT) - Howdy! Farrah Merali writes in The McGill Daily about Yves Laroche opening a "new" gallery in his basement. Called L'autre galerie (how original) almost 20% of the artists at l'autre are also on the roster at Yves Laroche.
