- Afin de promouvoir le développement de l information sur la Toile, Reporters Sans Frontières vient de lancer un palmarès pour les blogues qui ont le mieux servi la cause de la liberté de presse et du droit à l information. Le but est de valoriser les initiatives éditoriales « faites chez soi » sur un plan différent par rapport à la rigueur de la presse telle qu on la conçoit habituellement. A la compétition participent une sélection de blogues du monde entier, qu ils soient tenus par des particuliers ou par des groupes indépendants des organisations gouvernementales. Les journaux on-line sont souvent considérés comme des actes de résistance individuelle, parce que, comme le rappelle RSF, plus d 1/3 de la population mondiale vit dans des pays où la liberté de presse n existe pas. Dans ces pays, les gens qui revendiquent le droit à l information risquent la prison, et le développement exceptionnel des blogues durant ces dernières années a poussé les autorités qui ont peur des dissidents à élaborer des systèmes de filtrage pour bloquer l accès aux pages aux contenus incommodes ou pour contrôler les fréquentations de certains sites. |
