Intellectual property checker advances (May 02 2005 23:40 GMT) - [InfoWorld TechWatch] - Palamida is looking to capitalize on what it perceives to be a new opportunity - ensuring integrity of intellectual property. The company has hired industry veteran Mark Tolliver, formerly of Sun Microsystems and Hewlett-Packard, as CEO and president. Palamida IP Amplifier 3.0, available today, scans code to determine if any third party software might be in the user's software product. The Palamida offering checks a customer's code against a database of more than 38 million open source files and is intended to help users comply with any licensing obligations that may arise. |

Mass migration to VoIP is coming within a decade, report says (May 02 2005 23:40 GMT) - [InfoWorld TechWatch] - The international telecommunications industry has seemed to be on the verge of adopting VoIP in a big way for years. Research company In-Stat on Monday produced a report that says the ramp up to mass migration will happen within a decade. The mass VoIP adoption period for consumer and small business is 2005-2009, while migration to VoIP will peak in the 2010-2014 time frame, the high tech market research firm says. This time frame is largely dependent on carriers' strategies for migration to the Next-Generation Network (NGN). " |

Macromedia Breeze 5 gains VOIP support (May 02 2005 23:40 GMT) - [InfoWorld TechWatch] - Macromedia on Monday introduced a new version of its Breeze Web conferencing software and hosted service, featuring support for VOIP. Paul Krill wrote about the announcement for InfoWorld.com. Breeze 5 includes a telephone gateway that lets companies connect to their existing telephony bridges. Also, the updated offering provides integrated audio conferencing through a partnership with Premiere Global Services. |

Trev, I don't know what's official, but I've always just issued a n to break between the header info and the content. It has always worked.
