Mark My Words

Election night extravaganza (May 05 2005 23:41 GMT) - Hello and welcome to the Mark My Words election night partay, the time is currently eighteen minutes past eleven, and here are a few points I'd like to make at the current time: Looks as though, as I expected, Cardiff Central is indeed going to be won by the Liberal Democrat candidate Jenny Willott. Something I hadn't realised before tonight is that Wales gets its own election programme, which I have to admit I have mixed feelings about. BBC News presenter Huw Edwards is doing a predictably fine job of anchoring the programme, and I like the amount of attention Cardiff is receiving, but I would like to see some more broad coverage of the UK as a whole. Surely they don't think that people in Wales are only interested in Welsh politics? |
