- CNET is blowing the whistle on some internal Apple email indicating that they'll be dropping KHTML from the Safari engine in favour of WebCore. KDE developers are pretty upset about how the relationship soured; they had hoped that Apple would contribute a lot of code back to KHTML, but corporate priorities apparently resulted in changes the open source developers didn't accept. The gulf is now so wide that there seems to be little relationship between KHTML and WebCore. I can understand |
