Your time or your money [Stuart Harris] (Jul 22 2005 12:57 GMT) - Where we live we're lucky to have some fantastic local shops just down the hill - three minutes walk away. But for the bulky stuff and commodity items, we get Tescos to deliver. Tescos adds a fiver or something to the bill and we tip the delivery man too, so on paper it's more expensive. But it saves us a couple of hours at least - not to mention the stuff we don't put into the trolley on a whim - and I guess we're happy to pay the money to save the time. I don't watch much TV in general but over the last three week I haven't watched any at. |
