Zudem weiss ich nicht direkt woher das hier stammt, aber es ist lustig. Und die neue Death Cab for Cutie ist ein tolles Stück Klangkunst. |

cvs-1.12.12-1 (Version control system, 10.4-transitional tree) (Aug 19 2005 18:55 GMT) - CVS is the Concurrent Versions System, the dominant open-source network-transparent version control system. CVS is useful for everyone from individual developers to large, distributed teams: - Its client-server access method lets developers access the latest code from anywhere there's an Internet connection. - Its unreserved check-out model to version control avoids artificial conflicts common with the exclusive check-out model. - Its client tools are available on most platforms. |

Acne, External or Internal Signals (Aug 19 2005 18:55 GMT) - Why External Treatments Don’t Always Work On Acne Virtually all of the acne over-the-counter treatments available just don t have what it takes to clear up or control acne breakouts. This is because virtually all the current acne treatments simply mask the symptoms of acne and don’t actually cure the trigger that sets off acne breakouts. That’ |

Mighty Mashup (Aug 19 2005 18:40 GMT) - A while back, probably in the DangerMouse era, about half of everyone who is anyone in the techno corner of the blog world got very excited about mashups. Former DJ that I am (a fact that inevitably shocks my students, proving that they clearly have a very partial image of their professor), I went and started downloading mashups. But they just didn't do that much for me. Maybe I'm too much the purist or something. But here's a marvelous mashup that I think really works, producing a new whole that equals the sum of the very classy parts: |

Finding a Market (Aug 19 2005 18:40 GMT) - This again is a popular question that I receive from many artists: How do I find a market for what I make? Many artists feel that they lose creativity if they begin changing their artwork for the marketplace and give up what makes them fulfilled as an artist. I recommend doing some soul searching on what makes you happy. Why not find a market that wants what you have to offer? |

Google on 2nd Stock Offering = IM & VoIP ? (Aug 19 2005 18:40 GMT) - According to Investors.com Google may be looking for a VoIP play with this new offering and potentially could buy Skype. It would certainly appear as though Skype is looking to sell and it would make sense that Google would want an IP communications end point. The Public Broadcasting Model for Booklets (Aug 19 2005 18:40 GMT) - During their prime fundraising periods, Public Broadcasting radio and television (PBS) offer things like a hard cover book for a $100 donation, and a hard cover book plus some audio CDs or DVDs for a $200 donation and so forth. You know and I know that the same hard cover book at a bookstore does not have a $100 price tag on it. There is a tax-deductible donation involved here with the person who paid the $100 or $200. What does this have to do with booklets? It's been discussed in numerous venues about approaching non-profits and religious organizations to use a similar model. |
