Racism Rears Its Ugly Head (Sep 27 2005 23:43 GMT) - I could say that the Bush mentality has unleased a lot of evil by evil doers. But I think the problem has always been there. Native American have gone from 30 to 50 million people strong in 1600 to about 100,000 in 1890. Their numbers today are still less than one million in America. No other group of people have sustained such a huge loss due to genocide. |

Desperate Housewives Begins Season 2 With New Mystery (Sep 27 2005 23:42 GMT) - Bree Van De Kamp was the Big Story Sunday night on the second season premiere of "Desperate Housewives" as she grieved, in her own quiet smoldering angry way, over hubby Rex who kicked the can last spring of a heart attack, which was brought on by Bree's love sick psycho pharmacist. Her equally control-freaked mother-in-law, the dastardly Phyllis, arrives and tries to take over the funeral arrangements and attempts to eliminate all referencess to his wife, Bree. Bree bans her from the service but her grieving kids stick up for their grandmother. She relents. At the funeral, Bree goes silently balistic when she sees her dead husband lying in the coffin wearing a silly orange prep-school tie that his mom placed on him. |

Kelly's On The Bay in Key Largo Closed? (Sep 27 2005 23:42 GMT) - One of the scuba diving operators I used over the years was Aquanuts - Kelly's on the Bay in Key Largo, Florida. They had a nice operation with a few boats and an onsite hotel as well. I heard that they closed down this month and in fact, their website is offline. I wonder why? They were a nicely rated operator by readers of Rodale's Scuba Diving magazine. |

Scuba Diving Drysuit Course (Sep 27 2005 23:42 GMT) - I received another e-mail from a local NAUI scuba diving instructor about the possibility of taking a drysuit course. I have dived cold waters since my initial scuba diving certification course since I prefer the tropics with the warm waters and the colorful marinelife. However, I do wish to dive the Galapagos Islands someday and I heard that drysuits are recommended down there since the waters |

Rescue Diver Course (Sep 27 2005 23:42 GMT) - I did my NAUI Rescue Diver course down in Cozumel, Mexico a few years ago and I thought that is was the most physically challenging scuba diving course I have taken so far. One of the practical rescues I had to perform was to bring a diver who has passed out at the bottom and bring him safely up to the surface without harming him or myself. Then while on the surface of the water, I had to |

Might Miss Scuba Diving In Brockville This Summer (Sep 27 2005 23:42 GMT) - I have always been a warm water scuba diver in the Caribbean but since I've noticed many other divers raving about the St. Lawrence Seaway shipwrecks and the fact that there's no thermoclines up here, I was seriously considering on finally trying out some local diving this summer. One of the main centres for scuba diving here in Canada is in Brockville, Ontario. About two weeks ago, the water |
