Local News Blogs (Nov 14 2005 17:59 GMT) - Those are good points, Barry. With a local blog, some of the standbys of journalism may be a very good idea, the who, what, hwere, why, and how's. But, writing for the people reading the post the week afterwards, or a month, or a year, or twenty, is an interesting exercise. As important as those journalism questions are, I think that a blogger needs to add an additional one, which is "why is this relevant" to either the writer, or possibly the visitor of the site. |

USB Hand-Warmers (Nov 14 2005 17:56 GMT) - From cup warmers to oscillating fans, it comes as no surprise to see USB hand warmers. Just the thing to keep your mitts warm on those long chilly nights. Another slightly off-kilter invention, the gloves, sold in pairs or separately, are thoughtfully equipped with an adjustable temperature switch ranging from 'toasty' to 'toasted' and flexible enough for easy handling of the mouse. A real steal at a low 2,980 yen ($30) . Oddthings via techiediva |
