Why should big companies buy from small consultancies? [Mark 'Productivity' Eaton] (Nov 30 2005 21:22 GMT) - I was reading a very interesting book by Alan Weiss called 'Ultimate Consultant' and whilst it is not focused on the UK consulting market, it contained a very interesting summary of why bigger companies might be persuaded to buy from smaller consultancies, these being: You always deal with the Principals Overheads are much lower than a bigger consultancy Response times can be much shorter We deliver customised solutions rather than 'off the shelf' ones You aren't paying to train inexperienced consultants |
