HealthAlliance Hospital Goes Live with Soarian Health Information Solution from Siemens (Dec 13 2005 23:00 GMT) - Siemens Medical Solutions and HealthAlliance Hospital of Leominster, Massachusetts, announce that HealthAlliance Hospital is live on Soarian®, Siemens' new generation, workflow-engineered health information solution that supports patient-centered care. HealthAlliance Hospital implemented Soarian over the course of 18 months, and is the first facility in the country to go live enterprisewide on the clinical, financial, and health information management (HIM) applications of Soarian simultaneously. Approximately 1,750 users are accessing the system and more than 10.6 million results have been converted for use in Soarian from HealthAlliance's legacy health information system. Siemens to Provide Security and Communications Systems to Pacific Texas Pipeline Project (Dec 13 2005 23:00 GMT) - Pacific Texas Pipeline and Transportation Company has awarded Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. a $50 million contract to design and build the security and communications systems for the first construction phase of the $440 million Pacific Texas Products Pipeline, which will move gasoline, diesel and jet fuel 425 miles from El Paso, Texas to Phoenix, Arizona. The project began in October 2005 and is expected to be completed in late 2006 or early 2007. According to Pacific Texas Chairman Cecil Owens, the Pacific Texas Products Pipeline, including the security and communication technology needed to protect it, will serve as a model for future pipeline builds. ? |
