- Just got off the phone with Customer Service, and they were amazed that only new customers could buy the WiFi phone. They couldn't believe it. Even his manager was shocked. I suspect that this is an oversite by some rushed product introduction team who forgot to put in the link to allow existing customers to purchase. If not, then Vongage is making a very serious mistake alienating their loyal existing customer base. |

- Look at the forum posts for people with Rogers or Bell 128K service. Very few if any are happy. The VSAT service is only 128K up at maximum throughput so with someone using a PC elsewhere in the house, well, you get the picture. The new Ka band stuff from xplornet is much better than older Ku band stuff. The upload is significantly faster than 128K IF you are willing to pay more, and download speeds over 1000K are offered. |

- i think the reason it only works with "some" wifi hotspots is because, some places require you to take a survey before you can start surfing. i don't think the wifi phone has a way to get around the survey yet.... : |

- for the initial setup, i don't know if it matters if the RTP300 is connected to the cable modem or not....however be patient with the WRT54GP2. turn off the wireless, and don't plug any phone lines in until the phone light is solid. other than that just contact the vonage support team to do the number swap and you should be good to go!
