Online Advertisers Embrace Software Solution to Combat Click Fraud (Dec 14 2005 19:43 GMT) - Online retailers and other Internet-based companies that use PPC advertising are increasingly concerned about “click fraud,” a phenomena that occurs when a company repeatedly clicks on a competitor’s ads to drive up advertising costs, or when an affiliate repeatedly clicks ads on its own site to increase its commission. Complaining that PPC advertising venues such as Google do little to combat click fraud, Internet advertisers are embracing ClickFraud247. |

Global Warming -- A Partial Cure that Needs Help (Dec 14 2005 19:43 GMT) - Today, there are products that will greatly help reduce engine (even vehicle) emissions, by far more than the Public realizes or has even been told. A 10% drop in the emissions of all of these engines, Globally, would result in a major cleaning of the atmosphere and breathable Air. Imagine, if possible, that there was a product that was developed by a very respected group of Scientist (NASA), sold to a company and developed further, into a product that could (and actually has, for over ten years) help reduce the engine emissions of the devices it was used in by over 50%. Would this be worth the attention of the World?? One would hope so; |

and a glass eye (Dec 14 2005 19:43 GMT) - Dan Lyke: There's a dead tree down the road a bit that I walk past. This picture is from quite a while ago, but this morning there was the hammering of construction across the valley, answered by the hammering of one of these dudes (I was gonna say "little peckers", but that'd be unnecessarily crude, no?), making quite a cool morning tattoo. |

TV Classics: ?Newsradio? |

Syndicate Conference (Dec 14 2005 19:42 GMT) - As written about a few days ago, I'm at the IDG-hosted Syndicate Conference in San Francisco and will speaking on panel hosted by Forrester's Charlene Li in a few hours. I've never met Greg, Jodi or Jeremy in person, so I'm especially looking forward to the event. Jeremy shares my passion for flying with the notable difference being he actually does it. I took flying lessons when I lived in the DC area about 15 years ago (did ground school and had a few hours in the air), but never finished. Maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to have the time and resources to take it up again. |
