RC2 New user mild confusion (Dec 16 2005 13:56 GMT) - I read an article recently, I think in an old issue of Software Development magazine, that described the lengths to which some developers go to get the "new user" experience. In one instance, for example, developers had to watch a new user use their application. No big deal, right? Except they were made to sit on their hands so that they couldn't reach the keyboard or guide the user in any way. I was amused by that antidote, but today I felt like one of those new users might have. |

manager: Ugly Firefox problem (Website Design) (Dec 16 2005 13:55 GMT) - Hi folks,I generally produce websites for UK clients who want to target UK customers. IE is the “browser of choice” in the UK (used by 97% users). Because I like to do a good job, I go to the trouble of ensuring that my websites appear identical in a couple of obscure browsers. When I view sites with Firefox its renders the pages with all the images displayed as broken, then loads the images from the top down Uggggh !I was wondering if using interlaced gifs would cure this problem, or has anybody got any better suggestions. |
