Podcast: Hooray For Spying (Dec 16 2005 23:39 GMT) - Click to hear "Spying"The scriptNYT reports Bush authorized domestic spying on al-Qaeda following 9/11. The spies didn't have a court order in all cases. I am supposed to get all worked up over this. But my gut reaction is good. Thank God he was president instead of Gore or Kerry, because they would have insisted on playing by the rules. |

The Anti-Democratic Left (Dec 16 2005 23:39 GMT) - I have maintained for some time that liberals are anti-democratic. They see themselves as elites who smarter than everyone else because they control the universities. The problem is instead of honest intellectual pursuit, most of the liberal arts engage in an orthodoxy of communalism that dismisses the individualism from which new thought springs. The liberties they seek are only for a list of |

GotVoice (Dec 16 2005 23:38 GMT) - People who know me well are aware that I never check the voicemail on my cell phone. The recordings stack up and gradually drop off after the expiration date because I hate not being able to skip to the end of 30 seconds of um, yeah, I just called, to say, um, can you call me back, um talk to you later..." If I see your number in my missed calls, I'll assume you called for a reason, call back and get the details in less time than it takes to dial. Contrast this with my Vonage service, which takes messages and emails them to my inbox. I love getting voicemail in my inbox. |

jason_sot: Poetry (After Hours) (Dec 16 2005 23:37 GMT) - I was never into poetry until I was in a place in my life where I had UNLIMITED (well, almost) time on my hands. I started taking out some agression in what would be more like rap than poetry. It was pretty hard core but if you can see the art in certain rap, you could really appreciate it. Then, as my aggression lowered, I started turning toward more poetic writings. It was great. |
