meriweather: New Article Site (Search Engine Optimization (SEO)) (Dec 17 2005 18:59 GMT) - Hey Serpy, I think the point here is that the articles in question are posted in multiple locations on the web, and provide somewhat authoritative inbound links to the authors website, or whatever website he chooses to plug. In my own case, any article I publish in this type of directory is already copyrighted and I have no problem with it being published elsewhere as long as it contains my copyright statement and resource box. |

Yes, we have bananas. We just can't ship them. (Dec 17 2005 18:58 GMT) - From Friday's New York Times, a piece I wrote in a personal capacity:At this week's ministerial meeting of the World Trade Organization in Hong Kong, negotiators have once again hit an impasse over how and when to open the rich world's agricultural markets to farmers in the poorest countries. What few people have realized, however, is that poor countries don't have to wait for the World Trade Organization. There is plenty that they can and should do to help their own farmers to trade. Imagine a dream scenario in which the trade ministers emerge from their negotiations this weekend holding hands and proclaiming an end to all agricultural protectionism. |

Before and After Montage (Dec 17 2005 18:57 GMT) - I feel that most people don't appreciate the degree to which film makers today manipulate the images you see on TV and in films. This montage shows just a little of what we do in compositing. This is all stuff you could do with, say, After Effects. |

Cyber Crime (Dec 17 2005 18:57 GMT) - Police 'almost fix' bomb e-mail author The above article on Rediff is very interesting. "a team of cyber crime experts are browsing through the volume of e-mail messages sent from the centres." I wonder how this is possible !! Suppose if one is sending a mail from his yahoo account, how the heck could any one get the email message and browse it ? "Police had also searched the customer log book at both the cybercafes and also questioned a few customers in connection with the case. |

(Dec 17 2005 18:56 GMT) - Author: Renge Ishyo Posted: Sat Dec 17, 2005 7:56 pm (GMT 1) I'm going to wait and see what it is like later on especially with the Blue Whale and the zoom effects when you are travelling to the moon and what not. I sure hope these parts are done well, it could have just been a prob with the intro flying sequence (but seeing as how this is a Wonderswan port I doubt it though). |
