Happy Winter Solstice! [Russ King] (Dec 21 2005 10:49 GMT) - The 'festive season' has many different days for celebration depending on your country and religious belief. I like marking the Winter Solstice because people have been doing it, without the aid of calendars, for thousands of years. It must have been a relief for people living a hand-to-mouth existence to know that the sun was coming back again. In terms of celebration, it has mainly been incorporated into current traditions - evergreen decorations, lights, yule logs. Cider appears to be the New Age drink of choice. |

Yes, the media is doing its job, but majority of the news (especially the news in the ABS-CBN'S and GMA's evening shows, and the news in some of today's tabloids) are bad news. 2) Nakakabuti ba o nakakasama ba ang media sa lipunan? Parehong nakakabuti, and the same time, nakakasama sa lipunan. Nasa tao naman iyan, kung i-a-apply mng tao sa buhay niya. |
