- I am having the same exact problem....since Monday. I could understand if they posted a message explaining on the dashboard. Customer service is no help when you call, almost like talking to a machine...they keep repeating the same thing over and over. |

- But, it IS frustrating to see so many problems aknowledged here, or quoted here, and NEVER see them on the Service Announcements page. Vonage is not doing themselves a service by withholding this information, since their customers then have to call CS and tie up a rep to read off something that could have just been released in the first place. There it is. A lot of the frustration could be avoided if Vonage would just step up and tell the customers that it's having a problem, and act as if they were a bit sorry about it. And a defensive attitude doesn't help. |

- My experience so far?? I wouldnt know because after ordering overnight shipping, it getting here a week and a half late, having issues with the number on the modem, I am STILL waiting to start using my service. I guess you get what you pay for :eek: |

- its sad but true when Companies get to big for there britches, its the customers who end up suffering in the Companies rush to have the latest technology or new gadget. This voip is a very competitive business even Comcast is going to start up a voip. remember its just as stressful on the customer service reps and techs to keep up while the head honchos reap the [color=#00BFFF:ec3d1577cf]b[/c [/color:ec3d1577cf] I think when a Company is growing at a fast rate they should triple the tech support and Customer Service. |

- I didn't try putting the RTP in teh DMZ due in part to my other computers connected to it (Unfortunately, I have too many computers for my own good). I think you should try it, if only as a test. |

- On my computer, my internet connection drops in and out. It is quite annying. I think that it is affecting my vonage service as well. It doesn't seem to have this problem if my computer is the only thing connected. I have comcast cable for my internet connection. |

- At any rate, the idea was that it would help Vonage's customer service if they post known issues on the portal ... that's it. For the record, I agree. My biggest complaint about Vonage has nothing to do with the intermittent problems - I know that for $25 a month, I don't get perfection, and it's still a good deal even with the flaws. How does a SIP message, sent from the proxy when either the intended party does not exist (wrong number dialed) or the user is not registered on that proxy have anything to do with a cordless phone. |

- Yes, I'm not with vonage a different company. but i don't think it has to do with the proxy or the indended party. i think it has to do something with 5.8ghz phone coredless phone. we had some problems with it not communicating correctly with the box or perhaps the network. |

- Is the USR set to act as a DHCP server? Is it blocking any ports? With a computer plugged into the USR, can you successfully make a call at www.testyourvoip.com ? |

- describe your network, any routers or other devices you might have. If I were you I wouldn't do anything on ports 5060 of 5061 because your Vonage likely uses those ports. set the ports on the iChat software client to something else (if you can) and forward those ports to your Mac. If not you are going to have to have your Vonage use a different port range, like 10000 which can only be accomplished by a super CS tech like me. either way we need more info on how your network is set up, device types, etc... |

- It sounds as if your friend has more serious problems than technical ones. In any case, get back to us when you've finished your own investigation and maybe we can help. QoS settings sound like the name of this game, but you'll need some data to be sure. You might also suggest that she re-boot everything, powering up in the correct order. That's the answer to a lot of problems. |
