corpse213: Gwar (Death Metal Mayhem) (Dec 25 2005 11:13 GMT) - I fucking love GWAR, they make some pretty decent music, well not compared to some other bands but still it's all good listening and fucking hilarious, I mean sogns like Fuckin an Animal, Nitro Burning Funny Bong, Penile Drip, Meat Sandwich, Sexecutioner... you just can't go wrong with that shit. I just brought home the DVD, Ultimate Video Gwarchives, it had like 19 music videos and I was on the floor laughing at some of the videos. I recommend getting it, although none of the songs are performed live- it's all the album version of the song being played over a video. Well what do you guys think about these crazy motherfuckers? |

First Experimental Success of a Superfluid (Dec 25 2005 11:13 GMT) - J writes "Researchers at Rice University have created and observed a state of quantum superfluidity. Cooled to temperatures near absolute zero, fermions overcome their natural tendency to repel one another. These half-spin particles become dominated by the Strong force and couple up in pairs that behave as one particle. Major benefits to matter in a superfluid state include superconductivity, a state where electrons would flow freely with no resistance, thus preserving the most amount of electrical charge during passage and providing the ability to save billions of dollars in 'lost electricity'. Although the conditions set for this experiment are very unlikely to be able to exist outside of a laboratory, we now know that superfluidity is a concept that can exist. |
