Cookies are the problem with punBB (Dec 25 2005 19:51 GMT) - We have gotten both SMF and phpBB to work with Drupal. But punBB is not possible because the security does not allow it to accept the cookies from outside of pubBB. So logging on from any page using anything other than punBB to create a cookie gets ignored. If punBB was to switch to sessions then everything would work as it should. We are looking at other Boards like FUD and Mercuryboard. |

Links (Dec 25 2005 19:49 GMT) - Om Malik ponders the question of whether or not tags (and the people who make them) can 'beat Google at the search game'. I don't think there's a simple answer to that one. In terms of results quality it's obvious Google can get beat, because they are often not that good and rarely are they 'the most relevant'. But I worry that tagging of any kind will succumb to spamming far quicker than algos did. Taggers need identities and reputations, and then I think it will start to work. |
