- I have recently bought vonage and when I pick up my phone I get a busy signal, when I have not dialed anything. I have the linksys adapter (pap2) but the phone light does not come on when I plug in the phone. |

- yeah I was doing this off a pure memory and got the ports mixed up. But still forwarding this ports in the past has worked, or just completely turning off the firewall |

- Instead of disbaling the firewall you can forward the ports to the Vonage router they are: 5060-5061- Voice traffic for the Motorola MTA's 69 - DNS 53 - TFTP port (to register and get XML updates) 123 (Caller ID port :) 10,000-20,000 - Main Voice traffic ports These are all UDP protocols. I would reccomend all these be forwarded. Ok, 5061-5061 are NOT voice traffic -- they are SIP which ONLY initiates and ends the call and sends CID info. |

- The light does not work right. As reebok pointed out, I would not reccoment even getting aphone that supports this. I have it so that when I get a voicemail it sends a text message to my cell phone. Thats pretty easy to use. |

- I didnt mean D-Link was bad. It is linksys. Linksys uses a Texas Instruments chipset when it comes to thier VOIP products, and it is very very very buggy. The only device that does not use this chipset is the Motorola MTA which I would reccomend to EVERYONE, however they are currently SOLD OUT |
