Romney's Office: We Are Firm and Expect No Changes (Dec 28 2005 22:50 GMT) - [GrokLaw] - There is a cowardly report in The Boston Globe today about Peter Quinn's resignation, in which the same journalist who stirred up the bogus accusations against Peter Quinn reports on his resignation without once mentioning the Globe's involvement. (For a more complete report, try ZDNET.)The article does mention that Quinn was completely exonerated after an investigation, but it doesn't mention that it was the Globe that made it all happen in the first place. I will quote a snip from the report, however, because you'd want to know about this part: Eric Fehrnstrom, director of communications for Governor Mitt Romney, yesterday confirmed that Quinn had submitted his resignation, effective Jan. |

Looking for a Little Help Researching "Of Counsel" Arrangements (Dec 28 2005 22:49 GMT) - I'm working on a little research project, maybe it will turn into an article, on the practical aspects of "of counsel" arrangements between lawyers and law firms. In part, my working hypothesis is that "virtual law firms" (I know that some of you don't like that term, but bear with me) will be founded on the evolution of "tried and true" legal relationships between lawyers rather than on some kind of new form of "affiliation" or other relationship model. Two observations today in Tesco [Phil Woodford] (Dec 28 2005 22:49 GMT) - 1. Someone in front of me in the queue had two loaves of bread, three bottles of Tesco Cream Cleaner and six cannisters of Mr Sheen.
