Trolling motor wiring help (Dec 31 2005 17:48 GMT) - I have just acquired a Minn Kota MAG24W 12/24v bow mount foot control trolling motor. I am told that one switch is bad. I can check the switches, but the previous owner had pulled all of the wiring loose from the switches, and I'm not sure how to rewire. I've done google searches and checked the Minn Kota website, but I can't find a wiring diagram for this foot control. Anybody know where I can find one? |

Ideal size boat (Dec 31 2005 17:48 GMT) - We all occasionally wish for a larger boat but would we really buy one if we were able? I have decided "No", my 28' S2 is ideal for me. A larger boat would have more to go wrong and require more expense. My 28 is ideal for me as she is large enough to do a lot of things but small enough for me to easily single-hand which I do a lot. The older I get, the happier I am to not have a larger boat. |

New to Boating And trying to get a yearly cost estimate for outboard running in brackish/saltwater. (Dec 31 2005 17:48 GMT) - I am new to the boating scene and would like some information or a point toward good information on the best motor and boat to run in the intercoastal. I live very close to a ramp and plan to store it at my house. I am leaning toward an outboard due to the ease of cleaning and prevenitive maint. I am also very interested in a used boat so that I dont take it in the shorts when I leave FL. I have two big dogs and I want to take them with me sometimes and possibly spend the night on the boat or camp... |
