Jet-propelled Kayak Races Through Iceland (Oct 25 2006 23:18 GMT) - We've already seen what happens when you pack a jet onto the back of a pickup, well now someone's strapped some motors onto a kayak. It's nowhere near as powerful as the pickup, but still manages to make your kayak fast enough to race against rally cars. In Iceland. While dodging icebergs. Click ahead for a video of our favorite kayak in action (fwd to 4. |

Know the Facts FIRST (Oct 25 2006 23:18 GMT) - casino is a suction cup. It sucks money away from neighboring businesses, away from families of those with gambling problems (and there are thousands in this state already), away from police and rescue services who must service a new casino and away from |

A Fair Gamble (Oct 25 2006 23:18 GMT) - isnt that hard to change. Weve done it 60 times since its inception, including to deny the Narragansett gambling rights, and again to open it up to Lincoln and Newport. Those who say the Narragansett willingly gave up their sovereignty forget that they |

Has Microsoft Heard Power Users? (Oct 25 2006 23:15 GMT) - In my last blog, I wrote that Microsoft has abandoned the power user. But there’s also some possible good news: The company says the next version of Internet Explorer will include features dear to the hearts of power users. I had lunch with several Microsofties a little while back, to talk about Internet Explorer 7, and they freely acknowledged that power users may not be happy with IE 7 because it’ |

The Measures Of Oregon (Oct 25 2006 23:12 GMT) - Well it's that time again, time to decide whether or not we the people will relinquish more of our money and rights to the government. Really, that is what we are voting for or against. Proponents of big government and higher taxes have been flooding us with ads of a dire future for our state if we don't give more control to the government. Here's how I will be voting: Measure 39 - YES - Keep |

Happy Birthday United Nations? (Oct 25 2006 23:12 GMT) - 61 years old, today is the official United Nations Day. Now I sure wasn't around for the birth of the UN - far from it. Yet, I can read how the UN started just after World War II - an attempt to unite the countries of the world for the purposes of peace and security. My, how the UN has changed, especially under the auspices of Kofi Annan. Now a central focus of all things socialist |

I Have No Problem With Arabs If - - - (Oct 25 2006 23:12 GMT) - So the concept is simple. Instead of Arabs becoming Muslim-crazed killers and oppressors give them a taste of democracy. Can such a concept really work? Forbes had a report a few days ago called The Top 40 Arab Brands. I've listed just a few of these successful companies - what can happen when even Arabs have tasted democracy. |

Governor Kulongoski - The Obvious Choice! (Oct 25 2006 23:12 GMT) - I hope my conservative friends don't attack me on this post. In all fairness I do find that Governor Kulongoski is often the right choice. For example: Illegal Aliens: Kulongoski can proudly state that Oregon is 1 of the 5 states that allows anyone to obtain a driver's license without proof of citizenship. |

Gag Me - Things That Make Me Puke (Oct 25 2006 23:12 GMT) - Some things I read just are so stupid they make me want to puke. For example: CAIR sent an email out today about a copy of the Quran found in a toilet at Pace University last week. Now that incident didn't phase me - like big deal, so what, it's a free country, etc. But no, CAIR wants to turn it into some major attack on Islam, so true to the Muslim non-tolerance policy CAIR-NY Civil Right |

Japan Has The Right Idea (Oct 25 2006 23:12 GMT) - Don't look for the UN to do anything of substance against North Korea. It is in the interest of countries like Russia and China that hate the USA and her allies to do as little as possible against this terrorist state's nuclear program. Japan knows how the UN operates - NOT in the interest of democracy and freedom. The UN has a record of corruption, aiding terrorist states and groups, and all |

Another Terrorist Entity: Thanks Democrats! (Oct 25 2006 23:12 GMT) - We know Muslim terrorists thank Democrats for not taking an offensive against them. We know these same enemies of the free world thanked the Democrats for allowing them to train how to fly jets - training that took place on USA soil. Now North Korea's Kim II-sung thanks Democrats for that $4.6 BILLION bribe that the Communists used to build two nuclear reactors - used in creating their current |
