Maybe He Was Going to an Emergency Bris? (Nov 30 2006 20:19 GMT) - Did you see CBS 2 Investigates: Too Good For Gridlock? The too-good-for-gridlock offender is Isaac Heschel, a diamond dealer who is also a rabbi and volunteers time as a chaplain to the MTA and Port Authority Police. Heschel frequently uses sirens and lights in his Crown Victoria, but neither agency gave him sirens or lights, meaning that Heschel pimped the car out for emergency fun himself. CBS 2 was tipped off by an anonymous member of law enforcement: |

Giant Bonnet in Madison Square Park (Nov 30 2006 20:18 GMT) - With the unseasonably mild weather we've been having, it's a great week to check out the sculptures nestled in Madison Square Park's outdoor gallery before they are taken down after the holidays. The four large scultpures, created by internationally renown Ursula von Rydingsvard, are abstract works primarily expanding upon her established vessel theme. Or, in less erudite terms, the odd-shaped wood and plastic-looking forms make for a really good excuse to take an extended lunch break in the name of Art. Although the majority of the pieces--Czara z Babelkami (this one looks like a giant Jenga game), Ted's Desert Reigns, and Bowl with Fins--are created out of cedar, Von Rydingsvard's apparent masterpiece is a twelve-to-fourteen-foot polyurethane-resin work entitled Damski Czepek. Abstract art tends to become more beautiful when you understand the deeper, hidden message the artist is trying to convey. |

Rock you in the face (Nov 30 2006 20:12 GMT) - Is this what Prodigy means by a nosebone? How would you stab someone’s brain with it? What mental valleys and rivers do you have to traverse to go from disagreement to wanting to stab a vital organ? Or is it this lack of internal orienteering that gives rise to such a precocious flow? |

Thanksgiving Game Day (Nov 30 2006 20:11 GMT) - My son Dustin for the past 6 years has always held a football game Thanksgiving morning with his friends. Seeing the football photos on here has always made me wish I had a good camera when he played high school football. Anyway I went down to shoot the game this year, and yes, they play full tackle with no equipment (dummies) No broke bones this year just an earring planted in the back of his head,(forgot to remove it) last year it was a broken finger.Thanksgiving Day Game |
