Health Insurance for the Self-Employed? (Dec 01 2006 10:58 GMT) - SharkJumper writes "Looks like this question has been asked before, but might be due for an update. I'm a self-employed programmer who is about to become a father. Previously, my family's insurance has come through my wife's employer, but she is eagerly looking forward to being a stay-at-home mom. We must look for that elusive low-cost insurance in order to enable her to do this. Losing her insurance is not a huge loss as, due to failed negotiations, the hospital in our city (3rd largest city in the state), along with most of the doctors that refer to it, is dumping the network (largest in the state) that our insurance uses. |

Weird rape dream (Dec 01 2006 10:50 GMT) - Posted by: Meidi - I'm in my mom's apartment, I think I'm living there with a friend. I really can't remember all the details of this dream, however; a violent man somehow comes in through the balcony. He's raping my friend up against the bathroom cabinet while smashing her head into the wall. |

The One With The Band (Dec 01 2006 10:44 GMT) - Posted by: Shell - I was outside my house in Bristol with 3 other guiders from our district at home. Maureen and Elieen were there but I can't remember who the fourth one was. There was a big group of people outside in the street and we were going to split them into four groups. Everyone started walking and I thought I was supposed to take the people at the end but Maureen was already there, she said she would move up in the line to get the people further ahead in her group. |

THE INSANE APPEAL OF BUSH (Dec 01 2006 10:39 GMT) - Lot49: "Lohse, a social work master's student at Southern Connecticut State University, says he has proven what many progressives have probably suspected for years: a direct link between mental illness and support for President Bush. Lohse says his study is no joke. The thesis draws on a survey of 69 psychiatric outpatients in three Connecticut locations during the 2004 presidential election. |

Gourdon's Alive! (Dec 01 2006 10:37 GMT) - A new minimalist roll-top dry bag from the chaps at Alpkit. It was designed with climbers in mind but we think it might have an appeal to certain commuters and for folks after a decent stuff-it-all-in bag for cycling weekends or events. 2006-11-23 10:38:53 |
