The Iraq Debacle Week in Review Dossier (Dec 03 2006 05:52 GMT) - The various links provide a daily diary of the bloodshed in Iraq since the fall of 2006, updated weekly. Initially, I would post a line or so of commentary along with links to the news coming out of Iraq, but to put it bluntly, I found that the sheer scope of the Hell that the Iraqis have been put through defies any reasoned comment. This series, then, stands merely as a stark reminder of what has been done in our names. Thanks to Antiwar.com, without whom the preparation of these posts would be much more difficult. |

Kip Fucks Trevor @ Corbin Fisher (Dec 03 2006 05:48 GMT) - Corbin Fisher pairs up two newbies, Kip and Trevor. They’ve both done solo shoots, but never been with another guy. These two are beautiful - individually and as a team. Hubba-hubba! |

ModMusic: Holly Cole (Dec 03 2006 05:47 GMT) - I know that I'm supposed to profile some important gay artists (as promised last week), but I've been distracted by some great music in the last few days. The reason? I'm beginning work on a new original piece with my company, about the struggles of maintaining relationships. I've been listening to a lot of music to get in the mood, and I had to share this one: "Everything I've Got" as |

Brazilian Man of the Year (Dec 03 2006 05:47 GMT) - Our pals at Made in Brazil have started their end-of-year countdown, looking for the hottest Brazilian Guy of the Year. The 15 candidates are all smoking hot (so hot, in fact, that I will use the rarely-employed extra "t"...they are smokin' HOTT). Most casual observers will probably go for Rodrigo Santoro (upper left corner), now that he's appearing on ABC's desert island drama Lost. But we |

Oscar-ology: The Satellite Nominations (Dec 03 2006 05:47 GMT) - I would post the Satellite nominations here, but they are so incredibly dull and irritating that I can't summon up the energy. Why are they irritating? Because they nominate EVERYONE. 13 pictures nominated for Best Film (in two separate categories, Comedy and Drama). Oscarwatch has the whole list, but there's barely anyone left in Hollywood who doesn't have a Satellite nomination. |

Over 2,500 photos from over 400 photoblogs were evaluated this year(!!!), narrowed to a little over 500 for the weekly competitions, and narrowed by the readers of Modern Fabulousity to the finalists selected between mid-January and |

Express Train (Dec 03 2006 05:47 GMT) - Congrats and a big slice of chocolate frosted cake to Travis Ruse, the photographer at the heart of Express Train, one of the most superb photoblogs in the universe. Two years old, and still finding detail in the morning commute that most of us walk right by. The blog world has a lot of pretenders and only a handful of true creative minds...and Travis is one of them. Count ModFab as a very |

Life Lesson: Supermodels Should Never Open Their Mouths (Dec 03 2006 05:47 GMT) - Heidi Klum -- supermodel, Project Runway host, and notorious man thief -- has recorded a truly horrible/brilliant tune for the holiday season called "Wonderland." A melody so sugary sweet it will give your ears cavities, so listen at your own risk. (Best leave the music-making to your hubbie, girlfriend.) And if you're a real glutton for punishment, here's the totally heinous video. (Thanks to |

Friday Hot Guy Blogging: Kellan Lutz (Dec 03 2006 05:47 GMT) - Before you report me to the authorities, I'll admit it...Kellan Lutz looks a little young. Like...possible jailbait. A background check, however, puts his birthday in early 1985, which makes him quite legal, so there. |

It's refreshing to see a beautiful, talented artist receiving her due attention...as opposed to this piping hot mess, who should quit hanging with Paris Hilton and purchase some sensible undergarments. In the Presence of Greatness (Dec 03 2006 05:47 GMT) - The news that made my day: Rufus and Martha Wainwright are advertising their upcoming Carnegie Hall Christmas concert right here on our little blog. I am currently having an epileptic seizure induced by their utter fabulousness. We are not worthy, we are not worthy... Which is not to say we don't equally spazz out for our other wonderfully fabulous advertisers too. |

Oscar-ology: Independent Spirit Award Nominees (Dec 03 2006 05:47 GMT) - The first major award nominations of the season (albeit for independents, not the studios), and it offers few surprises if you follow the indie scene. Little Miss Sunshine, which has courted voters with pounds of schwag, should take the big award easily. FabGadget: Oedipus The King (Dec 03 2006 05:47 GMT) - I realize I am prone to superlatives, but this is perhaps the greatest short film in the history of the internet: the entire story of Oedipus Rex, told in just 8 minutes...and performed by an all-star cast of vegetables. Bloody brilliant. (And pretty badass Tarantino-esque flourishes with the cutlery, too. |
